Pallet Racking

Pallet racking is used by many companies in many industries to solve storage problems. It allows large full pallets of goods to be placed on to sturdy racks for safe and convenient storage. It is a cheaper alternative to cantilever racking and offers different layout and access options.

As pallet racking is built to store very heavy loads, it is made of strong steel and reinforced by welded diagonal braces known as upright frame lacing. The load beams are made from the strongest steel and are available in a range of strengths to allow for light and heavy pallets to be stored. The whole structure is reinforced by the installation of footplates; this also has an impact on the total overall weight that the racking can withstand.

As well as durability, ease of navigation is important in the installation of a pallet racking system. This is why each system should be bespoke to the warehouse or storage facility that it is being housed in. The company that you use to manufacture and install your pallet racking system therefore must be experienced in the trade to ensure that the system is created and erected perfectly.

There are three types of pallet racking; drive-in, narrow aisle and conventional aisle adjustable pallet racking. Each system is useful for different industries and can be made to meet your company requirements specifically.
